Global Feminisms
Assignment: Interpreting the Greenbelt Movement of Kenya
In anticipation of Wangari Mathai's visit to TCNJ on October 17, 2001, for this class session we'll pool resources and build a website to explain to the rest of the campus the significance of Kenya's Greenbelt Movement.

Surf the net, looking for websites on Wangari Mathai (sometimes spelled Maathai) and the Green Belt (or Greenbelt) Movement of Kenya. Look for material that especially interests you, and that you think will help convey to students and faculty in different departments at TCNJ why women planting trees in Kenya matters.
Bring to class printouts of any especially unusual or impressive web pages, and a page (or so) of notes, including:
By the end of the day Friday, these pieces will be pulled together as a website.
