20 points (counts toward participation grade)
The purposes of this assignment are:
to apply what we've learned about "coalescing"
to create a collective statement of position representative of the coalescing we have done as a group over the semester
to celebrate where we've been and where we're going
to have fun while other people are taking final exams
We will create a scrapbook as a representation of where we're ending up in Feminist Theories, parallel to the Representation Task Force's project showing where we started. During the exam session, each class member will present and interpret her/his contribution as we assemble the collective representation.
Each class member will contribute to the final project a scrapbook page (on 8-1/2x11" card stock) that does the following:
represents, whether verbally, visually, or both, the thesis statement or a central point of your individual manifesta project
Optional inclusions:
a favorite quote from one of your sources for the project, your adopt-a-book, or from any of the other readings for the semester. Include the name of the author and the title of the source.
images from your project or photos from events you've participated in this semester
a slogan (what if we were to stage a demonstration and chant phrases based on this project? what would we say?)
