Writing Like a Feminist:  Voice


Written assignments - 55% of final grade

First Essay:  prewriting due January 25, final due February 1 - 20 points

Dialogue board participation -

Dialogue essay:  first round due March 22 - 20 points; second round due March 29 - 15 points; third round due April 5 - 10 points, final essays due April 12

Adopt-a-book reading log & essay - due March 25 - 40 points

Manifesto essays:  prospectus due April 19, final paper due on exam day - 50 points.

Exams - 15% of final grade

Midterm Exam due March 15 - 50 points

Participation - 30% of final grade
Daily talking points - 20 points

Biography and discussion facilitation - 20 points

Manifesta project  - 20 points

Women's History Month events - 20 points.  Attend the following two events and write a 1-2 page response essay linking the event to the content of the course.

General participation (includes participation in task forces, fulfillment of guidelines generated by the task forces, overall contribution to the shape and content of our part in the broader discussion that is Feminist Theories) - 20 points

Extra Credit  – 1% per response essay up to 3%

Additional Women's History Month events count as extra credit.
