            A writer for Elle magazine did some field work for her article "To Love and Obey".   She investigated the truth behind A. Justin Sterling's preaching about children and marriage, and went on one of his expensive weekend retreats.   She tells of the experience, trying to be open minded, but mentions the allure his opinion has of telling women they should follow the tradition of a female/feminine role.   She adds gory details of the weekend and what his methods were for eliciting the right responses from women.   He and his following are actually on www.rickross.com which is a cult-watch site.   The article succeeds in offering evidence that the opposing viewpoint of women's liberation from traditional gender roles exists and is in full force, counteracting feminism one weekend at a time. -N.T.
