"Feminism, Constructivism, and the Global politics of Home-Based Work"

This reading seeks to combine the venues of academia, the workplace, and activism.   Focusing mainly on pertinent theories, especially constructivism, it is at times difficult to find the connections to the workplace environment. The nuggets of information regarding the concept of work and home intermixing are fascinating, perhaps due to the heavy load of theory.   What is the most valuable resource of this document is that the author seeks to take her well-educated audience out of the comfort of their own experiences and to seriously consider how this particular facet of the gender and workplace dilemma is played out on the global stage. -L.P.
