50 Ways to Support Lesbian and Gay Equality

This text uses brief articles in order to explore different ways of honoring equality within the LGBT community, particularly through communication. The main goal is to learn how to show respect for others, regardless of your own personal beliefs. This text, particularly the boxes marked "Steps for Equality" at the end of each article, would be a great way for someone to begin learning how to work with other people of all genders and sexualities by encouraging them to open communication about pronouns and nouns that are preferred. In order to explain how and why communication is so effective, each author used at least one personal anecdote about their own experiences or conversations in regards to LGBT issues. These anecdotes were very effective in that they showed the reader what language to use and real life ways to approach these issues. - K.D.
